Vintage Shirley Temple Doll 18 Ideal Composition Antique 1934 Prototype 1930's

  

Vintage Antique 18 Ideal Shirley Temple Doll. Made of "Composition" which is cracking/crazing majorly (see pictures). Markings on back of neck say COP Ideal N & T Co. (standing for Ideal Novelty & Toy Company).

Updated to add: 1934 Prototype doll (Ideal tested her on the market in 1934, then released in 1935 due to popularity). Blonde Hair wig - seems to be glued on - hair is messy.

Eyes are green but seem different from each other - see pictures. Eyes do open and close when doll is standing vs.

Laying, doll can hold a pose, and legs are sturdy enough that she can stand on her own. Lips are red and mouth is slightly open. Skin has cracking/crazing on the face, body, arms, legs, pretty much everywhere, with the shoulders being the worst (can see white underneath on the shoulder).

Outfit is not original but is a cute blue and yellow plaid with pink ribbon tied around the middle and lacy trim. She also has on a pink undergarment with attached pink lacy skirt. Shoes are black tie shoes and she is wearing socks. The previous owner says the doll has been repaired before.
