1930s Shirley Temple Doll Ideal 25 Bluebird & Scottie Dresses Orig Wig

  

This is a genuine early 1930s IDEAL marked Shirley Temple doll standing 25 tall. She is made of composition with minor crazing as typical due to being a true original circa 1930s doll. Maker marks on back as expected see photos.

She came from the ORIGINAL owners estate to me and was definitely prized and well cared for. It is REALLY hard for me to part with this girl but I must, we are no longer able to use our dining room thanks to my MANY dolls... This big girl displays WONDERFULLY as you can see: the smile, the nice shiny composition with great color that has aged nicely, still a hint of blush on cheeks and knees. Her lashed flirty eyes work great, she is strung tight and holds her poses beautifully. Only minor crazing with only one tiny crack above her eye that has been filled with composition filler to prevent any further issues.

Some fading of her eyebrows, I have made no attempt to repaint as you can see. Do look at all photos and ask for more if you need. Shirley is wearing her Original underwear, socks, shoes, and curled mohair wig with original Red silk ribbon hair bow.

Sadly, her original tagged dress was probably lost over the years... BUT: NO fretting: She has not one but TWO absolutely WONDERFUL professionally made dresses themed from two of her movies. She is sporting a new expertly made reproduction period ST Doll Pin on her Scottie dress too! The first is the rare BLUEBIRD dress made by renowned ST doll clothing maker, Donna Nance, of Lollipop Designs. It is the doll dress adapted from the BLUE BIRD movie, I can NOT tell the difference from the original tagged dress and this one!

Apparently it is rare to find an original doll in this dress. This seamstress has expertly copied the original tagged dress PERFECTLY! It is near impossible to find either of these dresses now. It is an excellent match to the original down to the fabric choices and the ruffled hem, perfectly tailored. The second dress is a BRAND NEW hand made Red Scottie dress from the movie OUR LITTLE GIRL that is simply gorgeous and a really nice repro.
