1934 Shirley Temple 13 composition doll with original dress/shoes plus extra

  

Lovely 13 Shirley Temple composition doll from the Ideal Toy Company made in 1934. Jointed composition body, mohair wig, glass eyes, and open mouth with teeth.

In 1997 it was given a refresh by the doll hospital in Spring, Tx and was appraised at that time. This is my Mother's original Shirley Temple doll which has been stored carefully and display under glass when out. She was indeed one of her prize possessions. This set includes the original 1934 dress, socks and shoes as well as the updated Ideal polka dot dress she is photographed in. The doll hospital replaced the dress in 1997 to an authentic Ideal dress but we did keep the 1934 dress as well.

It's listed for less than the appraised value as the market has changed since 1997 but this is one of the more outstanding Shirley Temple dolls I've ever seen!
