22 Ideal Shirley Temple Doll in Original Little Colonel Southern Belle Costume

  

For your consideration, a wonderful 22 Ideal Shirley Temple, marked body and triangle Ideal. Composition is in fantastic condition. No major cracks, lifting, repairs, touch ups.

Very little, if any crazing. This is the early version of Shirley that Ideal did, with the chubbier body, and these did not crack and craze like later dolls.

Original wig is blonder and in its original set. Slight crackling in her eyes, less that typical, please look at photos closely. If you are interested in any additional photos, please ask. I photographed doll nude so you could see how nice her composition is! Stringing is slightly lose, but will hold a pose. Works fine when displaying on stand.

Original cotton slip with attached bloomers, trimmed in lace. Not launderedjust slightly touched up with iron. Original southern belle type dress is layers of pale greenish organdy, very nice condition, probably slightly faded, but stable and no holes or shredding.

Trimmed in ribbon rosettes, button closure. Again, pressed but not laundered.

Not sure it had one. Costume is completed with HUGE pink bow in hairoriginal. I doubt she ever had a hat, since the bow is so large. One shoe has mend near snapcheck out left shoe in photohard to see. Doll is much prettier in person than photos show. She has been in my collection, displayed carefully in a case, non-smoking.

Hard to find outfit for discriminating collectors or someone who always wanted a Shirley Temple doll! Little Colonel Southern Belle outfit.
