From my personal Doll collection Two original 1930s composition Ideal Shirley Temple dolls with mohair curly wigs and first edition book The Story of Shirley Temple. The dark painted skin version of Shirley was originally dressed as "The littlest Rebel" from one of her films when I bought her however the material fell apart and I eventually dressed her in the blue version of the other Shirley's red sailor dress which are both handmade by Katherine Kauffman including the sailor hats. They have starched cotton onesies underneath blue cotton scarves and blue ribbons in their hair. She also has a repro button badge.
The clothing is removable and are a true replicas of Shirley's dresses especially made for me. Red sailor dress Shirley has original socks and repro shoes.
Checking her over the tip of one finger on her right hand is missing and a tiny repair on the finger next to it but no cracks or crazing she has two small green marks on her left arm from another doll's clothing in my cabinet and minor paint loss around inside leg joints Littlest Rebel Shirley has a repaired foot see pics They both have beautiful full real hair eyelashes and curly blonde mohair wigs. Their cute dimples and little teeth are lovely. Red dress Shirley has slightly looser stringing however she is holding together very well. I do not want to separate them so please do not ask. A wonderful pair of true antique Ideal Shirley Temple compo Dolls approx 18 high fully marked and a super addition to your collection.
