Shirley Temple 20 Composition Doll In My Little Girl' Red Scotty Dress & Coat

  
Here is a fabulous 20 Shirley Temple doll. She is dressed from the movie "My Little Girl". She has all her original curls and they are soft and fantastic. Her face paint is all there. Her eyelashes painted and real are all there. She has clouded eyes but they do not detract from her great face with no cracks or crazing.

Her body is in great shape with slight wear at the joints. Her stringing is a little loose and I will include the doll stand.

She is wearing her original shoes and stockings and I have not taken them off because the snap on these shoes is so fragile. Her feet feel all there. She also has on her original onesie slip. Her red Scottie dress and red Coat and Hat with feather were made by C.

Is a self-taught seamstress who started sewing on a treadle sewing machine at age 14 out of economic necessity. One of 16 children, Kauffman's mother died when Kauffman was only 11. The family couldn't afford extras such as dolls.

As a teenager, Kauffman honed her sewing skills working in a pajama factory and later as a seamstress in a hospital laundry. Sewing for dolls came much later after her daughter was born. Now Kauffman makes approximately 40 "Shirley Temple" outfits, creating patterns from pictures of the original costumes.
