Vintage Ideal Composition Shirley Temple Doll Pink Dress Price Tag Box

  
What a darling little composition Shirley Temple doll manufactured by the Ideal Novelty and Toy Company! From all appearances, she is new old stock from an old store of long ago. I have no idea if shes been displayed, but she certainly hasnt been played with. Everything about her is in new unplayed with condition. Its as if shes been laying in her original box, on a shelf since she was produced at the Ideal factory in the 1930s.

The box top is missing, the bottom of the box with the box label is torn in two places, and her garments, as well as compo, have some dust residue. Even with some dust, her coloring and garments are vibrantly colored and bright.

Her hair is a gorgeous sandy blond, in its shiny factory-original set of darling curls and right blue bows. Her glass eyes are crackled but open and close properly with full brush lashes. Facial paint is bright and fresh, as is her coloring and blushing on checks, hands and knees. She stands 14 tall, and her compo has light crazing all over but no cracking, lifting, splitting or holes. Her stringing is loose, she cannot stand on her own and she needs to be restrung.

She could be displayed in her box if propped up at an angle like in my first photo. She will be a wonderful new addition to your composition or Shirley Temple collection!
